Tizer Botanic Gardens and Arboretum will be the new performance venue for the Montana Shakespeare Co. this summer!
MSC and Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum join together to create an exciting, inspiring environment for the senses. By combining these two creative and esthetic venues we invite you to join us for an evening, or afternoon, of relaxation and artistic delights.
MSC performances are adjacent to the Tizer Gardens located at 38 Tizer Lake Rd., just off Hwy. 15 at the Jefferson City offramp.

With its company of professional actors from across the nation the Montana Shakespeare Company presents Private Lives , a sparkling romantic comedy from the pen of Sir Noel Coward, directed by MSC's Artistic Director, Kim DeLong.
Written in the crisp, light style as “Bringing Up Baby” and “The Philadelphia Story,” Private Lives is a brilliant comedy of manners set in the late 1930’s. Laced with witty dialogue and outrageous physical humor throughout, Private Lives is a comic masterpiece guaranteed to tickle your funny bone!

Plot Synopsis:
Continental jet-setters, Elyot and Amanda, once married and now honeymooning with new spouses, meet by chance at the same hotel and reignite their old spark. They impulsively elope but after days of being reunited, they again find their fiery romance alternating between passions of love and anger.
Their aggrieved spouses, Cybil and Victor, appear and a roundelay of affiliations ensues as the women first stick together, then apart, and new partnerships are formed. Eventually there is a knock-down, drag-out fight which opens the eyes of Elyot and Amanda, who then steal off together yet again.
